CET Floating Fire Pumps provide a unique solution for high-volume water supply when speed, access, and portability matter. Designed to float directly on the water source, these self-priming pumps eliminate the need to position a conventional pump at the water’s edge and connect a suction line—allowing crews to establish water supply quickly from ponds, tanks, pools, and other open water sources.

CET offers two floating pump models to match different flow requirements. The compact PFP-6HP-FL delivers up to 200 GPM and weighs just 64 lbs., while the larger PFP-13HPHND-FL delivers up to 460 GPM with a 13 HP Honda engine. Both feature direct-drive, single-stage centrifugal pumps, heavy-duty floaters, self-priming operation, and a 2½-inch discharge.

Floating pumps are particularly effective for wildland and WUI response, rural water supply, tanker fill operations, drafting, relay pumping, and other applications where large volumes of water need to be moved quickly from an accessible water source. The result is a simple, highly portable water supply solution that can be deployed where conventional pumping setups are difficult or time-consuming.
