NVFC – SAFER Grant Application Tips

Members of volunteer and combination fire departments are invited to participate in a free, live NVFC webinar on SAFER Grant Application Tips, taking place Tuesday, February 19, at 2:00pm ET.

The application period for the Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response (SAFER) program is open from February 15 through March 22 and provides a funding opportunity for fire departments to recruit and retain volunteer and career firefighters. The goal of SAFER is to enhance local fire departments’ abilities to comply with staffing, response, and operational standards established by NFPA 1710 and/or NFPA 1720.

The webinar will be instructed by David Lewis, NVFC Maryland Director, and will help participants navigate the application process and learn tips and best practices for a successful grant application. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions. A recorded version of the webinar will be available on the NVFC web site for those who are unable to attend the live session.
